Perhaps it was ill-advised, but I haven’t really had the desire to go out and grapple trash during the lockdown. I suppose I wondered whether a weirdo wandering the streets with a bucket and a grappler was really what the world needed at the time. Then, as things loosened up … well, it wasn’t a top priority. Anyway, let’s see if I can sustain this again.

It was a lovely, if blustery day (April 2, 2022) with sunny skies that drew me back out again. But that blustery day dissuaded me from spreading out today’s haul for a photo. Unsurprisingly, three face masks were among the haul, along with socks, a toothbrush, a partially filled aluminum beer bottle and then mostly all the usual stuff: cigarette butts, cups, cigarette packs and crushed plastic water bottles. Oh, and a banana peel.

Last thing: Three people actually thanked me when they saw me today. That was nice.
